WE DID IT AGAIN!!!!
Once agani the Kentuckians Barbershop Chorus has met the challenge. The chorus competed at the Cardinal District Spring Competition in Louisville, winning for the second consecutive year the coveted AAA Plateau Chorus Contest. In addition, the chorus had the top overall scores for the weekend.
This is achieved by singing extremely well, interpreting what we are singing in the correct manner and presenting the music to the judges and audience in such a way that it is "believable".
A "job well done" to all the chorus members.
The Kentuckians would gladly welcome any male singer to visit one or more of our rehearsals. Come be a part of a winning chorus.

SINGING VALENTINES
On Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, 2008, five quartets from the Kentuckians Chorus went "far and wide", singing love songs, distributing flowers and cards to many very happy recipients. This is an event that all the quartet members look forward to every year. We have a BLAST!!!
Mark your calendars for 2009. Check our website for information that will guide you to a representative of the chorus so that you can make timely reservations for the one(s) you love.
Keep in mind, this is not just for spouses...don't forget mothers, daughters, and other loved ones. Don't forget your staff, and other co-workers.

KENTUCKIANS CARDINAL DISTRICT AAA CHAMPS - Chorus sings its way to the top
Chalk up another win for the Lexington’s Kentuckians Chorus.  The group was awarded top honors in the Plateau AAA Chorus Finals at the Cardinal District Spring Convention in Columbus, Ind, last weekend. (March 24)
Vocal quartets and choruses from Kentucky and Indiana competed, but the Kentuckians Chorus was able to rise above the competition and take home the gold – again.  It also won Cardinal District AAA competitions in 1991,and 2004. The chorus won the AA Plateau in 1991.
Contestants are judged on sound, stage presence, choreography and interpretation of the music.
The all-male Kentuckians Chorus is the Lexington chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society,(formerly SPEBSQSA)and though it is based in Lexington, members come from all over Central Kentucky.  The group performs a cappella, with focus on barbershop style singing.The Kentuckians Chorus is featured in the KET program, "Kentucky Life"
